In Jan 2009 God told Robertson that gold would hit $1900/ounce and oil $300/barrel. Gold prices promptly fell from $980 in Feb to $870 by mid April. While it has recovered - 1900/ounce is still a long way off. Oil prices fell from a 2008 average of $91.48 to a 2009 average of $53.48.

Now this leads me to conclude that either
1. God is a very mischevious and mean spirited prankster who for some reason focusses on Robertson as his dupe
2. Robertson is actually just a paranoid schizophrenic who hears voices, but due to his only massively inflated ego thinks those voices are God speaking directly to him.
Which do you think? And do you think there is any chance Robertson can get God to tell him who'll win the Superbowl next year so I know who NOT to bet on?

I'm working as Assistant Manager - Business Development for a multinational company, I'm 33+ years old from a rich family but completely self dependent. I earn well, living in a good standard, not married and doesn't look like going to get married soon (just had a break up a few days ago).

I believe I need to do some kind of a MBA to to grow within my organization or in some other similar kind of organizations. So, I applied to one of these courses in a reputed university and cleared all the exams, now they have asked for the fees which i feel is a lot of money.

Recently, I started some investment in property for which i pay some monthly installments, I'm also planning to invest some money in gold bullions / coins.

The question is shall I continue investing in tangible items and retire as early as possible or invest in a MBA and grow more within my company.

I like my job and enjoy it but also feel like i should have my own business.

your opinion will surely help.
I'm more intersted in long term investments however will be ideal if have short term benefits as well.

It is really a big IF. Not to sound pessimistic but it is mouthful. Short term, it is highly improbable considering the monkies still on its back: power shortage, big budget deficit, corruption, poor infrastructure and food production shortfall. The biggest derailers are the slow and anemic takeoff of the biggest economies of the world like the U.S. and the EU which are the markets for our exports like electronics, clothing, precious metals copper, nickel and gold.


I think this is no time for bravado. Let us just work hard to hurdle these initial roadblocks and keep our fingers crossed. We can shout to the heavens later.
